North Star is a newer log home nestled at the junction of big Wood Lake and Moose River affording spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Richly colored sunsets are easily seen from the front porch or the upper deck off the front loft.
VIEW FROM UPPER DECK
Snowmobilers have easy access to Canada right out the door with hundreds of miles of groomed trails linking all parts of Maine and Canada. There is ice fishing and XC skiing right out the door as well. Hikers have easy access to local trails. Animal and bird watchers will enjoy watching for the abundant wild life in the Jackman area.
The area offers great grouse, moose, and outstanding hunting for trophy white-tailed deer. We are also within a short drive to Quebec.
WINTER VIEW
This generously sized cabin features sleeping for 7-8 with a queen sized bed in the back loft, twin bed in the front loft, a folding bed, pull-out full-sized couch and a full size bed in the first floor bedroom, color cable TV, woodstove, microwave, telephone with local access, and a washer and dryer. There is one generously sized bathroom. Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and utensils.
