Ambra exercises during the day, and about 8:30 in the evening she gets up on her favorite spot on the couch, dragging her blanket with her (yes, she really does this) and waits for me to cuddle with her. If I am busy she curls up and starts her nap alone. I have been warned she could easily become spoiled, as she loves to be pampered. One of her favorite ways of being cuddled is to have me whisper in her ear---------when I mentioned this on the phone to a friend who was caring for her for a few days, he answered with a straight voice "Yes, we noticed that!"

As sweet and loving as she is with all humans, Ambra is Alpha Dog in the house, ruling with a strong threat when another canine tries to sample her food, play with a favorite toy or sleep in her spot on the couch. She thinks all toys are hers, although she may choose to lend one to another canine.

We are active show people. Joan has served in several breed clubs as Show Director. Show time for Ambra is an easy wipe of a damp cloth, an ear cleaning and a nail clipping. Ambra is now being shown internationally at FCI shows.

Ambra has earned the following championships: International, Latin American, Las Americas, Puerto Rican, A1-ARBA (first American Rare Breed Association Cirneco Champion), and CKC (Canine Kennel Club). She won the coveted Top Dog of the Year 1997 award from CKC. In 1999 she won the title of 1999 World Champion Cirneco dell'Etna. No breed, in my opinion, has more flash then a happy Cirneco ready to go out there and win the hearts of the Judges, as Ambra has won mine.

1. If I am in the lap, it is mine. 2. If I am near the lap, it is mine. 3. If you are near the lap, it is definitely mine. 4. If you are in the lap, it is about to become mine. 5. If I think about the lap, it is mine. 6. If I think you are thinking about the lap, it is mine. 7. If the lap has ever been mine, it is still mine. 8. If the lap has not been mine, it is about to become mine. 9. If the legs have not yet formed a lap, they will, and then the lap will be mine. 10. If there is more than one lap or legs that have not yet formed a lap, by virtue of a combination of the rules listed above, they are and the same will be ALL MINE!
